Video partner of FC Luzern – the first two stadium spots are in use

We are delighted to be the new video partner of FC Luzern. In recent months, we have been able to implement two exciting projects for FCL’s sponsoring partners – and show how versatile videos can be in the sports environment.

The stadium as a stage for creative videos

Since the beginning of 2025, new LED walls have been providing an impressive backdrop in the Swissporarena: 12.5 meters wide, 5 meters high and brilliantly visible even in direct sunlight with 6,500 nits of luminosity. Developed for the demanding outdoor area and implemented by auviso – audio visual solutions ag, they offer the best conditions for moving image content that attracts attention.

Imagine: 15 minutes before the match starts, fans are looking at the big screen in the stadium. Your video is playing at that exact moment. Really cool.

Project 1: Holiday Inn Express

For the Holiday Inn Express Luzern-Kriens, we developed a 15-second spot that not only attracts attention, but also stays in the mind.

The special feature: The spot works both with voiceover on the big screen and silently in the Business Lounge – where it is shown over 50 times per second.

The core messages: Proximity to Lucerne, recognition and the partnership with FCL.

We opted for a completely illustrated, drawn style – fresh, eye-catching and perfectly suited to the stadium atmosphere. The spot ends with the slogan: “Simple Smart Travel”.

Project 2: FREI'S Schools - Talent School

As a talent school, FREI’S Schools Lucerne supports many young players in their KV-EFZ training – including many FCL players. In the spot, we present graduates such as Géraldine Reuteler, Ardon Jashari and Philip Ugrinic.

Our brief: a 20-second video for the stadium displays, the VIP area and internal monitors.

The special feature: the video had to work in several formats. On the stadium screen it runs in 16:9 format, on the displays in the VIP area upright in 1080 × 1920 pixels – completely without sound.

For the video, we were able to draw on professional player portraits by photographer Martin Meienberger and combine these with animated text elements. The result is a commercial that has both an emotional impact and clearly conveys information.

What are motion graphics?

Motion graphics are animated text and graphic elements that bring static content to life. Instead of simple text overlays, they create dynamic sequences that skillfully combine information and emotion.

From Logo to Professional Animation – The Difference Matters

The quality of sponsor appearances in the stadium varies greatly: some partners already have professional videos or animations, while others display only their logo or homemade clips.

This is exactly where we come in: we create tailor-made content that is not only seen but also remembered. The versatility is evident in the two projects we completed: Holiday Inn Express was fully illustrated, while FREI’S Schools combined professional player photos with motion graphics.

Conclusion

The collaboration with FCL shows how video design in the stadium goes far beyond traditional advertising. It’s not just about advertising a product. It’s about arousing emotions, telling stories and creating a connection between the brand and the audience – all in just a few seconds.

For Holiday Inn, the focus was on awareness, for FREI’S Schools it was on education and promoting young talent. However, both videos had to have one thing in common: They had to stand up to the emotional atmosphere of a football stadium.

We are already looking forward to the next home game, when our creations will flicker live across the LED walls of the Swissporarena – and to many more exciting projects.
