Explainer Videos for Industrial Companies

Straight to the point.

Your engineers could explain the plant for hours — the person across the table has five minutes? Hardly any sector is as complex and innovative as industry — Industry 4.0 is omnipresent — and hardly any has as much to explain: machines, processes, strategies. We translate your technical know-how into videos your customers, staff, executive board and external stakeholders understand. Since 2012, from Siemens to Sika.

These industrial companies explain with us:

What industry needs to explain.

Bringing complex processes and individual products to the point — that is industry's explaining job. Four jobs industrial companies bring to us again and again:

Technical products.

The data sheet runs to twelve pages, the visitor at the booth gives you thirty seconds? A video shows what the device can do before anyone has to ask: that is how Mettler Toledo explains device combinations, Textest its FX 3370 SpotAir testing instrument, Sika its adhesive solutions.

Strategy & business model.

The strategy is done — on forty slides nobody outside the executive board has seen? Axpo turns its business model into a video, Siemens its circular economy — for stakeholders who will not read a 40-page deck.

Digital channels.

The online shop is live — and regular customers keep ordering the way they always have? Voltline explains its online shop on video and brings B2B customers into digital sales.

The company itself.

Sometimes it is not the product that needs explaining but the business behind it: Heim AG presents itself with an image film.

Explainer video examples from industry.

Six examples from manufacturing, energy and engineering — from over 4,500 projects since 2012. 4.82 out of 5 · over 280 reviews on ProvenExpert.

A fantastic collaboration with Videodesign – proactive and sympathetic at the same time! The team is “à l’écoute” and convinces with its commitment, short response time and enthusiasm. The result: impressive videos about our products, which convince our internal and external customers.

Technical topics, too, are built in five steps with two feedback rounds per phase — your engineering team approves script and storyboard before animation. Handover in 4 to 6 weeks: see the production process.

Frequently asked questions about explainer videos for industrial companies.

From testing instruments to business models. For Mettler Toledo we explained device combinations, for Textest the FX 3370 SpotAir testing instrument, for Sika the adhesives product world — technical explainer videos where every detail counts. Axpo turned its business model into video with us, Siemens explained its circular economy, Voltline its online shop; Heim AG introduces itself with an image film. Behind them stand ABB, V-ZUG, Swiss Krono, Benteler and the Swissmem association, all communicating with us.

We know industry inside out — and what we don't know, we learn in the kick-off workshop: your engineers explain the technology, we build it into a story that procurement, management and new customers understand too. We know which explaining patterns work in industry — from the cross-section through the machine to the journey of a workpiece down the line. We are happy to show you references from your segment in the free consultation.

Yes — alongside 2D animation we have many years of experience with 3D visualisation. For industry it is often the key: a 3D animation shows what no camera can film — the inside of a machine, a cross-section of the plant, a process that is invisible in operation or too dangerous to film. Isometric explainer videos create the overview when many parts of a system need to be visible at once — an entire production line, say. Where real footage tells more, we combine animation with film.

We also implement augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) when your use case justifies it — honestly advised rather than sold out of love for technology. Often less 3D is needed than expected: an isometric view explains many plants better than a photorealistic flyover — and is easier on the budget. What fits your product we settle on a concrete example; more on the 3D video & 3D animation page.

By telling it from the benefit, not from the technology. Digitalisation merges traditional production with innovative IT — for workforce and customers, that is abstract at first. A strategy video translates the buzzword into concrete images: what changes on this machine, in this process, for this person? That is how we visualised Axpo's business model — as a story with a clear sequence instead of a diagram with forty arrows.

The effect works both ways: externally your company positions itself as a modern player, internally management, line managers and production share one picture. With transformation topics, repeatability counts: the video explains the strategy the same way at every site meeting — and in every language version, voiced in German, French and Italian and in English too. When the strategy moves to its next phase, we build on the visual world: follow-up videos come faster, the narrative stays consistent over years.

For the one core message: yes. For everything: no — and that is the point. An explainer video makes your company unmistakable because it shows your strengths concisely, not completely; interested viewers get the depth afterwards in the data sheet, the sales conversation, the demo. So we often solve explanation-heavy products as a tiered set: one overview video for trade fair and website, plus shorter chapters per function or application — as Mettler Toledo does with its device combinations.

What belongs in the 90 seconds and what goes into a second video, we decide together in the kick-off — honestly, even when the answer is "one video is enough". Rule of thumb from many industrial projects: one video per audience and core message beats the one video for everyone — your field sales force needs different arguments than your customers' procurement. If your topic needs more length, that is possible; the conditions are on our pricing page.

Very well — the trade fair is one of the most rewarding places for industrial videos. At the booth, the video runs without sound and attracts visitors who would ignore a roll-up; in conversation, your sales team starts it deliberately and sets the scene in 90 seconds. Afterwards the same video keeps working: in the follow-up email, on the product page, as a link in the offer, in training new sales staff.

So we design industrial videos to work silently from the start — clear imagery, text overlays, subtitled version included. You receive the video ready for every channel, with a usage right unlimited in time and place; on request we cut social media snippets, for LinkedIn, say, where your technical audience is. And because trade fairs do not wait: name the fair date in your enquiry — we plan backwards and tell you honestly whether it can be done.

The industry plays no role in the price — style and length determine it. Our fixed-price packages for 90 seconds apply, fully including concept, script, storyboard, design, animation and voiceover; more elaborate 3D visualisations are quoted per project.

Both are binding: the quoted price is the invoice amount. All packages are on the explainer video pricing page; your PDF quote arrives within 24 hours.
