And what is the best way to convey political content and step-by-step voting instructions? That’s right: with explanatory videos!
We were able to create a multi-part video series for the canton of Bern that explains the various votes in the canton in detail – politically neutral, of course.
In addition to the video, which gives detailed instructions on how to vote, other videos present the Grand Council and the Government Council.
This gives voters a comprehensive insight into the functions of the various cantonal government bodies.
The following video describes simply and concisely what the Great Council of the Canton of Bern actually is, how it works and what its tasks are.
And this video contains detailed but easy-to-understand step-by-step instructions for the various elections – from opening the election envelope to correctly filling out the election documents and posting them.
So that the videos are understandable for all residents of the canton, they were produced in German and French and adapted according to the respective language.
The videos are used on the website of the Bern State Chancellery and on YouTube. There they are accessible to anyone who wants to find out more about the various elections.
